1. Sunrises and sunsets
I am not a morning person, but the one advantage of going into work early is being able to see a few minutes of the sunrise. As for sunsets, my heart will NEVER grow tired of watching them. Being able to watch God paint the sky a new way every day is a beautiful sight to behold. Sunsets are particularly special to me now, because when I was younger and doing something with my youth group, our leader pulled over to take a picture of the sunset. I always told myself that someday, I would do the same thing. Well, this week, I did. God was speaking to my heart, and it was a very beautiful moment.
Balloons make any day more cheerful.
3. Daily Adventures
I don’t know about you, but for me, my daily life is nowhere near as glamorous or as exciting as I wish it would be. Yet, if I take the opportunity to see each day as a new adventure, life becomes more exciting. I’m not off on any amazing adventure or seeing new places right now, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t make a normal day into a memorable day.
4. Feeling Beautiful
There is something amazing about those days when you simply feel beautiful, even if no one compliments you on your appearance or your hair becomes a mess by the end of your work shift. Knowing that you are beautiful simply because you are the work of God’s hands is enough to light up every day of your life.
I LOVE cards. I love standing in the aisle, reading a ton of cards to find the PERFECT one. I love writing messages in them. I love addressing the label. I love that I can tape the edges of the envelope instead of licking it. I love putting them in the mailbox, knowing that you are sending a ray of sunshine to someone who is not expecting it. I love getting cards in the mail. I love reading the words written on them. I love looking at cards months and years down the road. I love how God moves so powerfully through a simple piece of paper.
