Welcome to the new and improved Lipstick Gospel. I am quite serious when I tell you that I spent 10 solid, anti-social days working on this new site, and so I’m so glad to share it with you (and to see the light of day.)
I’ve discovered that I have this slightly nerdy love for websites, because I really think of them as my living room. Organizing them, decorating them, and making them work feels like the same important work of arranging chairs, warm, glowy lamps, and fluffy blankets to curl up in. Because that’s the kind of thing we do around here. This is a place to be safe—to take off your shoes, and tuck your feet up under you as you let a mug of coffee warm up your hands and your soul.
I designed this place with you in mind—wanting it to be simple and make sense—to be friendly and thorough while not overwhelming.
And while this is super exciting—it is a process.
Just like moving houses, I’m finding that it’s taking a while for my life here to fall back into a comfortable rhythm. I find something new every day that doesn’t work, or a link that was broken in the move. It’s a complicated process but a necessary one. And I know that all of the kinks will be worked out soon.
But I could really use your help. If you find something that doesn’t work, or doesn’t function the way it’s supposed to, please email me and tell me about it. Or just email me and say hi, I love that too. (email@example.com)
I am getting into the swing of writing again, but in the meantime I want to share some new features with you—just to get you acquainted with our new home.
I don’t know how you keep tabs on The Lipstick Gospel, but if you don’t already get updates sent straight to your inbox, you can subscribe in the box at the top of the sidebar. I promise not to spam you—just to send you the latest content and, every so often, a big hug.
If you haven’t found The Lipstick Gospel on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter yet—those links are right below the subscribe button. I keep those up-to-date with fun snippets from my life. I’d love to see pieces of yours as well!
Also on the sidebar, you can find a list of my most popular posts, the story of The Lipstick Gospel, and a link to my World Race blog—if you want to read my stories from traveling around the world. And… best of all… if you’re looking for something in particular on the site, you can use the brand new search bar. Pretty fancy huh?
I love you all, and am so grateful to be navigating this messy, beautiful life with you.
Let me know if you have any questions about the new site—and be sure to tell me if something doesn’t work for you.
All my love,
