Although it wasn’t something I particularly enjoyed in high school, these days I absolutely love curling up on the sofa with a good book. Whether I’m reading a romance fiction novel, a murder mystery, a political debate book, or a new movie script, I love letting my imagination run away. Reading inspires me, and makes me feel like I’m continuing to learn and grow. My ideal night is a bubble bath with a good book and a glass of pino.
There’s nothing better than slabbing a new color all over a white blank canvas after a long day. I’m a perfectionist with most things in my life, which can be draining, but I throw away any chance of being perfect as soon as I brush that first stroke. I love the messes I tend to make. Painting gives my nonstop-mind a nice break to just get lost in the colors. It’s a creative outlet for me.
3. Inspirational Quotes
I love that a small phrase can completely turn around my whole day, or even better help inspire someone else’s day. First thing when I wake up in the morning, I like to find a quote that really has meaning to me, and post it. It’s the best feeling when someone else tells me “that was exactly what I needed to hear today.” I think we make a decision every day to live life with a positive attitude and the right combination of words can set your mind on that path. My favorite quote in which I have always tried to live my life by is “Make your own Miracles.”
4. Foot Rubs
Being a dancer and on my feel all the time, there is nothing better than a foot rub! I try to sucker my hubby into a foot rub any chance I can. The best time is during a football game, because he takes the stress of the game out on my foot and I’m in paw heaven 😉
5. Dinning Outdoors
I have always loved going out to eat. Recently the restaurants I love the most are the ones where I can dine outside and enjoy the beautiful weather as well as my food. Living in Los Angeles, I am completely spoiled by the sunny warm weather daily. What better way to take advantage of that while doing one of my favorite things, eating ;)… A great setting, with a great meal, makes for a very happy me.
Tyne Stecklein is from Aurora, Colorado and she absolutely loved growing up there. She’s been living in Los Angeles to pursue a dance and acting career for about 7 years now. She married the man of her dreams, Corey Anderson, in August of 2011 and it was by far the best day of her life! Corey and Tyne bought a house in Studio City last year, where they live with their crazy but perfect dogs, MJ and Flurry. She’s been very fortunate with her career and feels blessed to do something she loves for a living. A few of the jobs she’s proudest of are dancing for Michael Jackson in what would have been his final tour, playing the role of “Jesse” in the film Burlesque, and recently joining the cast of Dancing With The Stars. She misses her family back in Colorado every day, but knows that they are very proud of her for following her dreams. To keep up with Tyne, follow her on Twitter or Instagram.
