Welcome to StephanieMayWilson.com! I’m so glad you’re here!
You may be wondering how you ended up here, or where The Lipstick Gospel went. You may be peering around confused, like you took a wrong turn somewhere, looking down at your phone wondering what Siri did wrong this time.
I assure you, you’re very much in the right place. In fact, I think we all are!
Today, humble, wonderful today, is the day when The Lipstick Gospel becomes StephanieMayWilson.com, and I can’t wait to tell you about it.
I want you, for a second, to picture your bedroom growing up. Picture the colors you had in there, the posters on the walls, the way you had it arranged. When you were growing up, did you ever get to redecorate? Did you ever decide, either on your own or with your mom, that you needed something different, yourself 2.0?
I did, all the time.
I rarely got new furniture, but I was a champion at re-arranging. My parents would come home and everything would be in a different place just because I decided it was time.
I loved the newness of it, the outer reflection of the growth happening within me.
TheLipstickGospel.com has always felt more like a room to me than a blog. I’ve tried to create a refuge for us here. A place where we can push, pull, or drag ourselves in—a place where we don’t have to be perfect, or put-together, or know what we’re doing.
The Lipstick Gospel has been my blog for just over two years—almost to the day—and every time I enter into this space, I feel like I’m coming home. It feels like walking into my bedroom, kicking off my shoes, and cuddling up on my bed, a cup of coffee propped up on my knees.
But just like our spaces do, it’s time for the blog to grow along with me.
I want to expand the umbrella a little bit. I want to give myself a little more room to move, and a little bit more leeway with the kinds of things we talk about in our little space. StephanieMayWilson.com will be the place where we get to move, and change with different seasons of life.
It feels like a smart move, not just for today, but forever. I love having my blog called The Lipstick Gospel today, but I think 20 years from now, I might want something a bit different. I think StephanieMayWilson.com allows room for that.
The other thing is while I LOVE meeting y’all, and I laugh every time someone says, “you’re Lipstick Gospel!” I also want to be known as Stephanie, and I think this new blog title makes some more room for that too.
Lastly, The Lipstick Gospel was always meant to be a book, this book, the one that’s just about to come out. And with The Lipstick Gospel becoming what it was always meant to be, it’s time my blog did too!
Not only has the name changed, but my blog got a makeover too. This is the part that feels like a bedroom upgrade in all the best ways.
The content and the heart though, those aren’t changing one bit.
This is still a place to come in and kick your shoes off. It’s still a place where we’re honest and messy and where we find out we’re all in this together. It’s still a place about living a faith-filled life, and what that looks like lived out, about our relationships, and how to navigate those with health and confidence. It’s about celebration of the little things, and the big things, and making the most of every single day we’re given, and it’s about us—who we were made to be, and what we were made to do in this world.
It’s about figuring out how to love ourselves, how to be our own biggest fans, and how to muster up the courage and the gumption to go out there and make the world better, the way only we can.
Best of all, it’s about doing all that together.
So welcome to the new and improved Lipstick Gospel blog, StephanieMayWilson.com. Same content, same conversations, same heart, and same me, and hopefully the same you, just as perfect and wonderful as you’ve always been.
P.P.S. A big thank you to Kailey Dickerson for all my new photos!
