I don’t know about you, but January and February are months I have a hard time loving. I hate to say that, hate giving them some sort of stigma, some self-fulfilling prophecy of being cold and kind of depressing. But that’s how I feel about them, they’re just not my favorite months.
We still have our Christmas tree up. I want to be ashamed of that fact, but I just can’t bring myself to do it. The pleasure I feel as I plug in those warm, twinkly lights is just so needed in January and February. I’m going to keep it up as long as my husband lets me.
Along with keeping my Christmas tree up far longer than is culturally acceptable, I’m doing a few other things to brighten up these cold, dreary months, and I want to invite you to be a part of them.
1. There is a brand new line of prints in the shop!
There are five new prints, and I’m totally obsessed with them. They’re quotes and themes taken from The Lipstick Gospel, and they’re the words and images that inspire me the very most these days. I hope they do the same for you!!
To celebrate this new line, I wanted to give y’all a one day discount code for 10% off anything in the shop.
All you have to do is put in the code when you’re checking out and it’ll take 10% off of your total. But it expires TONIGHT at midnight EST so don’t wait!
The discount code is: ILOVEMYREADERS. (Because I really do love you, my readers. 🙂 )
2. The Lipstick Gospel is now on Amazon
Are you freaking out? I absolutely am. Exactly 83 of you charming, wonderful women (and a few men!) have left a review on my humble Amazon page, and it has made my heart so warm, I’m probably keeping our whole neighborhood toasty.
Check it out, send a book to a friend, or leave a review if you haven’t! I’d love to hear your thoughts!
When I’m at my best, I move through life slowly—noticing and capturing the beauty in every moment. But more often than I want to, I speed through life not noticing much at all.
Living slowly and with gratitude is something that takes practice, I’ve found, and so that’s why I created the hashtag #LoveliestThings365. Each day of 2015, I’m going to Instagram a picture of my Loveliest Thing for that day.
If you aren’t familiar with The Loveliest Things, a loveliest thing can be anything. It can be big or small, simple or profound—it’s just something you notice and find to be particularly lovely these days. (Ex. Seeing the same smiling Barista each morning at Starbucks, an extra 10 minutes to sleep, having a puppy fall asleep in your lap).
Since we’re all on Instagram (and spend far too much time on it, or is that just me?), I figured it was a great way of infusing daily gratitude and slow, beauty-seeking living into something we already do!
Also—I’ve noticed that gratitude is contagious. What better way to inspire our friends and Instagram followers to live with gratitude than to do it first?
I would love it if you’d join me! One picture a day—notice and capture something lovely and hashtag it #LoveliestThings365. I go through the feed at least once a day, I can’t wait to see your loveliest things!
4. Want to contribute a Loveliest Things guest post?
Speaking of The Loveliest Things, I’m now taking submissions for Loveliest Things guest posts! It’s a feature I do every Friday where we get to celebrate the lovely things about life, as well as highlight a fellow lover of life.
If you have a blog and are looking to do some guest posting to get the word out there, this is totally for you!
If you’re not a writer or a blogger, but just a lover of inspiration, then this is for you as well!
Here’s a link to the information. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions! Stephanie@StephanieMayWilson.com
5. I love hearing from you
Last but certainly not least, I just want to invite y’all to email me. If you are going through something and need someone on your side, or a kind word, or someone to pray with you, I’d love to be that person. I’m not always speedy at answering emails, but I answer every single one. My email address is Stephanie@StephanieMayWilson.com
I’d love to hear from you and get to know you. So even if you just want to stop by and say hi, please feel free!
I hope you have a wonderful Monday!
All my love,
