My favorite time of day is also the most beautiful, sunset. Watching to see what sky the good Lord above is going to paint that night. The sun, the clouds and the most beautiful colors. This time is often spent on the back porch with my Mom, making it much more memorable.
2. The Clay in My Toes
Anytime I can I escape to the lake. Whether it’s for dinner on the dock after work or a weekend getaway. There is nothing like standing in the water, clay in my toes, sun in my face and a sweet tea in hand. I always enjoy the recreational parts of it too, wake boarding, tubing, paddle boarding and fishing.
3. Road Trips
Adventure, exploring and new places. Getting in a car, setting all things aside and going away for some time. We all need some time away and time to think, so these spontaneous trips mean big fun and lots of relaxation, or if you’re me, lots and lots of naps. Well spent time alone, with friends or with family, each adding to make for a great time away.
4. Home Sweet Home
Being in college I treasure the moments I share with my family at home. There is no better feeling than pulling in the driveway to my house after a month or three away. Spending time with my brothers, sister-in-laws, parents, friends and of course my dog. These times are well spent and very cherished knowing how fragile life can be at times.
I’ll take a brownie, a cupcake, a couple cookies, a macaroon and three scoops of ice cream, please! Sweets are something we could all go without, not me. Give me an ooey gooey half-baked chocolate chip cookie to eat with a tall glass of milk. The second I finish a meal, I’m looking for the next thing- dessert. I’ll indulge in anything, but I will stand by my word when I say those sweets just don’t get old.
