ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Hey friends! Welcome to Girls Night!

In today’s episode, we’re talking with one of my favorite friends here in Nashville, author Hanna Seymour. Hanna is an amazing writer, mentor, Bible teacher, and friend. And today, we’re talking to her all about… get ready for it…  sex.

Sex is such an important part of our marriages, and it’s something we RARELY talk about as girlfriends, but Hanna and I think we need to talk about it more. We need the chance to ask questions, to get advice and encouragement from girls who love Jesus and love their husbands and who are figuring this out too. And that’s what this episode is all about.

I was just telling a friend about this episode, and I described it to her as, “All the things you wish your big sister had told you about sex as you were getting married.”

We’ll be talking through questions like: What if you don’t want to have sex as much as you thought you would, or should you be wearing lingerie every time? What do you do if sex is awkward, or even hurts? How do you get better at sex? How do you get yourself (or him) in the mood? How often should you be having sex? And so much more.

I’m telling you, this is girls night to the max.

This conversation has been so healing and helpful and encouraging for me, and for Hanna, and for so many of my girlfriends. I know it will be for you too.

Now, just a disclaimer: This episode is specifically geared towards sex in the context of marriage, which I know leaves some people out.

But, here’s what I want to say about that.

1. You don’t have to be married to join us for this conversation. I think it’ll be helpful, and encouraging, and beneficial either way.

2. We talk a lot about how to handle our sex lives as single women in my course Make The Most Of Your Single Life. So if you could use some advice and encouragement in that area, I’d love for you to join us for the course in February!

The thing bringing Hanna joy is her new favorite mocktail. It's Elderflower Cordial and Soda Stream water. (By the way, Soda Stream is Stephanie's favorite too, and this is the one she has!)

The woman who's inspiring Hanna these days is Andrea Lucado, and her book is called English Lessons.
