ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Hey friends! Welcome to Girls’ Night!

Our guest for today’s episode is my dear friend (and my small group leader!) Jessica Fralin!

Jessica is an author and a speaker, and today she’s here to talk to us all about social media and our identities — how to do one without losing the other.

I love having Jessica here to talk about this, because this has been something we just cannot stop talking about in our small group these days.

The thing is, we’re on social media to feel inspired and connected, but more often than not, those aren't the feelings we walk away with. All too often we look up from our phones (only to realize we've been on them for WAY longer than we realized), and we feel empty. We don't feel inspired, or connected, instead we feel things like FOMO, like the things we want to do in the world are already being done (and done better!) by somebody else, like we're not good enough (not thin/pretty/popular/successful/fun/well-dressed enough) and the list goes on...

It’s something my whole small group has been struggling with, and Jessica has so much insight into this. It’s like she wrote the book on it, which actually… she did.

Jessica is the author of a book called #Stolen, which talks all about social media and identity, and in our conversation today she shares some game-changing Biblical truths, as well as some super practical tricks that have been so helpful!
