1. Crisp, cold air
After spending the first 5 months of the year in Thailand, I couldn’t wait to stop sweating and experience some cold weather. It feels so refreshing to take a deep breath of cold air and let it fill my lungs. It makes me feel alive. Ahhhh winter.
2. Jesus hikes
I have really been loving hiking lately. There is something about being in nature that speaks to my soul. Sometimes God speaks to me through song lyrics, other times its in the silence or the beauty of the hike. During these hikes I feel so peaceful. At the end I always run down the mountain grinning ear to ear.
3. Gingerbread spiced dark chocolate
The other day, I went a little crazy with the festive goodies at the grocery store. I picked up some gingerbread-spiced dark chocolate and boy was that a good choice! It’s warm and wintery and perfect for this season.
4. My crockpot
Cooking for people is my love language, but with my nannying schedule, I don’t always have a lot of time after work. I’ve been using this mini crock pot I borrowed from my mom to throw things together and then let it do its thing. When I get home, the whole house smells good and I can have a tasty meal with my friends. It’s magical. My recent favorite; lentil stew.
I love using them in texting conversations, and take pride in making up new ones. For someone who doesn’t have twitter, and didn’t understand the concept until it was explained to me three time, I can’t get enough. Some things are best said in #hashtags.
